  Well its really busy but it still took a half hour for a server to greet us, got the drink order wrong, and they only have one bartender on so they're not making cocktails. Otherwise, it looks like it could be a cool place when its not busy?

  Love this place! Great appetizers (bacon! Dates! Cream Cheese!) and cool bar staff. Main courses are good but their salads shine. Cool atmosphere - is a blast when someone is playing the piano on the patio. I come here regularly!

  My experience:
  
  + Took 50 minutes for our appetizers to appear
  + Took 40 minutes for our server to let us know that the kitchen was backed up that night rather than letting us know right away
  + General lack of attention by our server with regard to ordering more drinks or actual main dishes
  + Water glasses were empty most of the night
  
  I consulted with the remainder of my group and we all collectively agreed that we weren't going to order anything more from The Loft for the night.
  
  I get that good food takes time, but I've also had much better experiences at similarly priced and similarly classed restaurants during their peak hours. I also understand that servers aren't going to be 100% all the time or be in control of anything the kitchen does, but it doesn't take much effort to inform customers in a timely manner of any hangups that could impact service. This server failed to to do that.
  
  Frankly, I'm embarrassed I recommended The Loft to my friends. This is downtown Seattle pricing without the service.

  Couldn't help but update this post. We tried to have a group of 25-30 people rent out the back patio area. I plan events for our company all the time. I've never had someone refuse to give me a budget breakdown for catering/rental. No cost per person or even an estimate of what would be provided for the food/beverage minimum. Unbelievably poor management on the part of the owners...
  
  Great food, but service was questionable. We had a group of 8 people, our server didn't seem to know what she was doing; forgetting drinks, not bringing checks when asked, and we all had empty water and beverage glasses most of the evening. We were also told that checks could not be split for more than 6 people. Guess our firm (largest company in Edmonds) will not be frequenting this place again anytime soon.
